Monday 8/25: Fly into Billings, Montana, arriving at Billings Logan International Airport. We will provide two shuttles for arriving flights, pick you up & shuttle you to the Medicine Flower Lodge north of Red Lodge, Montana (or you may provide your own transportation to Red Lodge if you wish.)
Find your room, & explore the land. Horse back riding is a possibility.

Slide show & talk: “Taku Wakan: The Sacred Nature of Plains Indian Art”
Tuesday, 8/26: Participate in setting up the tipi and placing it within the universe.
Tipi etiquette and the firepit.

Wednesday, 8/27: Excursion to the Buffalo Bill Historic Center & Plains Indian Museum in
Cody, Wyoming. Your hosts will walk you through best of the best of Plains Indian art & artifacts, giving you a guided course in material culture. Check out the museum’s website.
Dinner in the tipi.
Open Discussion, Q & A about sights of the day or take private time.
Thursday, 8/28: AM: Excursion to the Beartooth/Absaroka Wilderness with a moderate hike. This is a conscious journey, being fully present in the Now and finding a place that speaks to you.
You’ll have individual meditation time alone in nature.
Afternoon: Beginning beadwork project: Pattern making, designing your medicine bag, beading techniques.
Dinner and slide show: “The Demise of Tonto or Hollywood Meets the Sioux Nation” (A behind the scenes look at the making of Dances With Wolves).
Friday, 8/29: Beading your Medicine Bag while listening to traditional tales and instructions that prepare you to participate in ceremony.
Dinner and slide show: “The Native uses of the Buffalo.”
Saturday, 8/30: Finish your Medicine Bag.
Blessing your Medicine Bag and Closing Wopila Ceremony.
Ceremonial Dinner in the Tipi: Feeding the Spirits.
Sunday, 8/31: Depart to Billings via shuttles.
